Murfin – 50 years

Tom and Myrna Murfin of Vernon will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

Tom Murfin, the son of Richard and the late Marguerite Murfin, and the former Myrna Nattier, daughter of the late John and Ruth Nattier, were married on Aug. 20, 1961, in Jennings, Mo. Their attendants were Charles Murfin of Vernon and Judy Logan (deceased).
He is retired from Purina Mills, and currently farms and drives a school bus for Patoka Schools.
She is retired and also enjoys driving a school bus for Patoka Schools.
They are the parents of three children: Clay and his wife Andra Murfin of Vernon, Sara Beth and her husband Mike Frailey of Brownstown, and Curt Murfin (deceased).
They have five grandchildren: Matt and Alyssa Murfin of Gulfport, Miss., Luke Murfin, Vernon, and Haley, Emily and Curt Frailey of Brownstown.
They enjoyed a celebration with their family in May of this year. Future plans are to travel and visit their family.
