-A A +A
By Rich Bauer, Managing Editor

A St. Elmo woman was sentenced to three years in prison for negligence that resulted in the death of her infant child.
Judge Allan Bennett issued the sentence for Heaven N. Davis, 24, a little more than two months after Davis pleaded guilty to an amended charge of endangering the life or health of a child.
Davis was charged by the office of Fayette County State’s Attorney Joshua Morrison with the Class 3 felony on Jan. 31, 10 days after her 1-year-old daughter, Addison Scott, was found submerged in water in the bathtub of the family home.
