Lisa Moore, who has been a sales representative for The Leader-Union since April, has been named advertising manager following the retirement of Peggy Schulze.
A native Illinoisan, Moore has lived in more than 20 communities around the United States as a military spouse. Since 2002, however, she has lived in the Lake of the Ozarks region of Missouri, where she became the owner of a property management company and part-owner of a boat rental company. She also was a full-time accountant, with 12 years of experience in retail sales.
She was an accounting major at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in North Carolina.
She moved to this area in March to be closer to family and friends. She has three grown boys and three granddaughters.
“Though Lisa has only been with us a short time, she has distinguished herself by her work ethic and her leadership abilities,” said Leader-Union Publisher Dave Bell.
“She has considerable experience in retail business, which gives her a thorough understanding of the needs of small business owners. We’re excited about her ability to help our advertisers develop an effective marketing plan for their business.”
Said Moore: “Though this opportunity came sooner than I expected, I look forward to bringing new and fresh ideas to The Leader-Union. I’m proud to lead such a wonderful team.
"Our goal is to work hard to create positive results for the newspaper and our advertisers.”
With Moore’s promotion to advertising manager, applicants are being sought for her previous sales representative position. An advertisement for that position is printed on page 11 of today’s Leader-Union.
