MGHS class holds 60-year reunion

The Mulberry Grove High School class of 1952 celebrated its 60th reunion on Friday evening, June 1, at Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia.

Seventeen classmates and 17 guests were present, with the guests including the former high school secretary, Beulah Niepert, and former school bus driver, Clayton Edwards.
Saturday morning, 21 people enjoyed breakfast at Ponderosa, and on Saturday evening, the class members and guests attended the Mulberry Grove Alumni Banquet.
Each of the classmates received a DVD of their high school years, taken from the 1952 yearbook.
Those attending included class members coming from the states of Washington, Michigan, Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri and Illinois.
