Ali Meyer of Shobonier and Matthew Hellman of Carlyle have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The future bride is the daughter of Dan and Cindy Meyer of Shobonier.
She went to Vandalia Community High School for four years, and is currently attending Greenville College, working on a bachelor’s degree in social work.
The future groom is the son of Randy and Lisa Hellman of Carlyle.
He is a graduate of Carlyle High School, and he attended Greenville College.
He is employed as an officer at Vandalia Correctional Center.
The couple are planning a wedding this September.
