Merrill stops in Vandalia on coast to coast bike ride

Tom Merrill is riding his bicycle from the Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland to Venice, La., in an effort he named Pedaling for Pelicans. Merrill, a North Canton, Ohio, native, is riding to raise awareness and money for those organizations helping to revitalize the habitats harmed by the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Merrill made a stop in Vandalia last Friday with hopes of sitting in a barber’s chair and hearing stories about Abraham Lincoln.
