About a year and a half after they lined Gallatin Street with American flags, members of Crawford-Hale American Legion Post 95 noticed that the flags need to be replaced.
Vandalia’s mayor encouraged the public on Monday to support the Post 95 project through which flags are displayed on Gallatin in good-weather months.
Rick Gottman said at Monday’s city council meeting that the Legion is accepting donations for the flags, which cost $35 each.
