-A A +A

Plan to open restaurant soon

By Rich Bauer, Managing Editor

The Vandalia couple planning to open a restaurant on Vandalia Lake filed on Monday its response to a city suit aimed at preventing them from operating that business.

Steve “Luke” and Latisha Mabry’s attorney, David Cates of Swansea, filed a motion to dismiss the city’s request for a declaratory judgment in Fayette County Circuit Court.

In their motion, the Mabrys contend that their property is outside city limits and that the city has “has no jurisdiction beyond their corporate limits.”
