Louisville Regional Volleyball Tournament Preview

South Central High School is No. 1 seed in the Louisville Regional Volleyball Tournament, which is being held at Clay City High School. The Cougars finished the 2010 regular season with a 26-5 record, and won the Midland Trail Conference Tournament by defeating Grayville. South Central is led by five core players – Carissa Lotz, Katie Crain, Kinzie Nelson, Emily Atwood and Sarah Kramer, but the team is extremely deep and gets solid play from several other players. After receiving a bye as the No. 1 seed, South Central will face either No. 4 Clay City or No. 5 Centralia in the semifinals. During the season, the Cougars defeated North Clay in straight sets on Sept. 23 and defeated Centralia in two sets on Monday. South Central won a regional title last season.
