Monday, Aug. 30
St. Elmo 10
Sandoval 0
The St. Elmo baseball team won its first game of the season,  shutting out Sandoval, 10-0, in five innings on Monday.
Kase Stolte (1-1) went the distance for St. Elmo in its home opener, striking out five while allowing just two hits and one walk.
Blaine Scholes led the Eagles offensively with a 3-for-4 effort, and Connor Beasley slugged St. Elmo’s first home run of the season. Levi Maxey and Woodsen Savage drove in two runs each.

Friday, Aug. 27
Beecher City 10
St. Elmo 0
St. Elmo was on the wrong end of a no-hiter as Luke Levitt and Beecher City shut down the Eagles 10-0 in six innings.
Beasley (0-1) took the loss for St. Elmo.

Thursday, Aug. 26
North Clay 15
St. Elmo 5
The Eagles scored four runs in the first inning against North Clay on Thursday, but the lead would not last, as the Cardinals posted a 15-5 win in five innings.
Ben Sperry (0-1) took the loss for St. Elmo, and Savage and Maxey were the only two Eagles with hits. The team, however, did have seven walks, five of which came before there were two outs in the first.

Tuesday Aug. 24
Dieterich 12
St. Elmo 4
St. Elmo lost its season-opener, 12-4, to Dieterich last Tuesday, surrendering eight runs in the third inning and 11 hits in the game.
Stolte took the loss for the Eagles on the mound, but he was 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs. Savage had a double for St. Elmo, and Sperry was the only Eagle with a multi-hit game, notching two hits and an RBI.

Tuesday Aug. 24
Altamont 4
South Central 3
The South Central High School baseball team got a balanced effort from pitcher Colby Bushue and its offense, but Altamont High School was able to sneak by 4-3.
Bushue pitched a complete game, striking out seven and allowing eight hits. He was also 1-for-4 at the plate with an RBI.
Colton Wilkins led the team with two hits and also had an RBI.
