Lawinger, DeLong & Associates

Lawinger Law Office of Vandalia announced this week the promotion of Jeffrey A. DeLong to the position of partner. As a result, the firm now will be known as Lawinger, DeLong & Associates, LLC.

“It is the same firm with the same high standards,” said founding attorney Jane M. Lawinger.  “It has always been important to the firm to be seen by clients as a trusted advocate who will fight for their rights. We want each of our clients to see us as someone who can be relied on to bring relevant experience and expertise to their cause.”
Lawinger Law Office was established in April 1997 by Lawinger, who has been practicing law in Fayette County since November 1991. The firm will remain at its present location at 629 W. St. Clair St.
In November 2006, with the ongoing growth and expansion of the law firm, DeLong joined Lawinger Law Office. Prior to that, DeLong was with the firm of Chilton, Yambert, Porter & Young in Joliet.
“I am pleased to be taking on the role of partner at an exciting time in our practice,” DeLong said. “I am very much looking forward to the new challenges that partnership will bring, with the key focus being on maintaining and building existing client relationships, as well as developing new ones.”
In May 2012, Keith C. Jacob joined Lawinger Law Office. Jacob received his law degree at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich. He received his undergraduate degree from McKendree University in Lebanon.
The Lawinger, DeLong & Associates staff includes a legal assistant, three legal secretaries, an office administrator and a file clerk.
The firm will continue to practice in the areas of family law (divorce, orders of protection, child support, child custody, adoption and paternity cases), personal injury (automobile accidents), civil litigation, criminal defense, product liability, Workers’ Compensation, traffic and DUIs.
