Lady Vandals pick up OT win on senior night

On senior night, the Lady Vandals got 29 points from senior Amber Bruno and used a 7-0 run at the start of the overtime period on Thursday night to pick up a 66-56 South Central Conference win against Roxana.

Junior Kaitlyn Kershaw made a game-tying layup with about two minutes left in regulation, and freshman Madelyn Hosick blocked a second-chance shot in the waning seconds to force the extra period.

Morgan Cripe, a junior, assisted Kershaw on that basket, and had a double-double for the Lady Vandals (9-16, 2-6 SCC) with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
