The Lady Cougars broke a 44-game losing streak that dated back to Feb. 2, 2012, on Tuesday, beating Webber, 50-45.

South Central exploded for 20 points in the fourth quarter to help overcome its eight-point halftime deficit.

Freshman Abby Hahn led the team with 15 points and freshman Autumn McCoy set her career-high, with 11.

The Lady Cougars were 20-of-36 from the line for their best single-game percentage of the season. In the first matchup with Webber, South Central was 9-of-20.

McCoy also added seven points in the final eight minutes, scoring on three field goals and a free throw.

Other leading scorers in the game were freshman Alannah Sigrist (nine) and Sydney Wilkins (eight).
