Wreath-Making Techniques Class
The Kaskaskia College Department of Industrial and Continuing Education will offer a wreath-making techniques class through the Vandalia Campus from 9 a.m.-noon on Friday, April 15.

Swing & Jitterbug Dance Class
The Kaskaskia College Department of Industrial and Continuing Education will offer a swing and jitterbug dance class through the Vandalia Campus from 4-5 p.m. on Mondays, April 18-May 2.

Looking for a different form of exercise that’s fun? Look no further than the basics of swing dance and jitterbug.  Come along and dance with us as we learn these two cousins of American-style dancing. Partners are recommended, but not required.

Beginning Genealogy Class
The Kaskaskia College Department of Industrial and Continuing Education will offer a beginning genealogy class through the Vandalia Campus from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesdays, April 12-26.

Students will learn the basics of genealogy in this introductory course. This course teaches to structure your research and study various sources of genealogical information-census records, courthouse records, cemetery records, family papers, library sources, and more.
The cost is $30, but students over 60 may register at no cost.

“Talking About Generations” Class To Be
The Kaskaskia College Department of Industrial and Continuing Education will offer a “Talking About Generations” class through the Vandalia Campus from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, April 8.

Learn more about each generation, how generational differences affect relationships and how to recognize and appreciate the commonalities about various age groups. All students will pay a $10 supply fee.

Auctioneering Class
The Kaskaskia College Department of Industrial and Continuing Education will present an auctioneering class through the Vandalia Campus from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, April 8.

This basic workshop covers the basics of auctioneering. Learn how to navigate an auction like a pro, and perhaps discover a new career.

Intermediate Crochet Class
The Kaskaskia College Department of Industrial and Continuing Education will present an “Intermediate Crochet” class through the Vandalia Campus from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesdays, April 6-20.

Build on your crochet basics by learning how to make a ripple stitch afghan, size of your choice, granny squares and lacework. New techniques learned include increases, decreases and more stitch combinations.
The cost is $30, but students over 60 may register at no cost.
Students may bring their own supplies – US size H and I hooks and worsted weight (4) yarn in two or more colors – or the instructor will provide hooks and yarn at a cost of $15 to $20.

Advanced Excel Class
The Kaskaskia College Department of Industrial and Continuing Education will offer an advanced Excel class through the Vandalia Campus from 1-5 p.m. next Tuesday.

This course is for students who have completed the beginner class or have experience using Excel. Learn to manipulate your spreadsheets, complete advanced formulas and use Excel like a pro.

Floral Arrangement & Design Class
The Kaskaskia College Department of Industrial and Continuing Education will offer a floral arrangement and design class through the Vandalia Campus from 1:30-3:30 p.m. next Monday.

Students will learn the art of silk flower arranging. Learn to choose colors, vases and fillers to create a beautiful design.
