QuickBooks Pro workshop
The Illinois Small Business Development Center at Kaskaskia College will hold a workshop on QuickBooks Pro bookkeeping software April 15, 17, 22 and 24, from noon-4 p.m. at the Kaskaskia College Vandalia Campus.
The training consists of four, four-hour sessions and is invaluable to business owners using or wanting to become acquainted with the newest QuickBooks software.
Pre-registration is required and the fee is $80. Call or email for a registration form that must be returned one week prior to the beginning of the workshop.

Spanish basics class
The Kaskaskia College Office of Continuing/Community Education will offer a Spanish basics class at the Vandalia Campus on Saturdays, April 6 and 13, from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

This course designed for students who would like to understand the basics of the Spanish language in order to be able to communicate with co-workers or travel to a Spanish-speaking country.
Students will learn basic phrases and conversational techniques to better communicate in Spanish.
The cost for this course is $35, but students over 60 may register at no charge.

‘Self-Publishing’ class
The Kaskaskia College Office of Continuing/Community Education will offer a “Self-Publishing” class at the Vandalia Campus on Saturdays, April 27 and May 4, from 9 a.m.-noon.

Students will learn to publish their book for free using their own words. This is a basic “how to publish” class that gives information on how to publish using Internet resources.
The cost for this course is $30, but students over 60 may register at no cost.

Digital photography class
The Kaskaskia College Office of Continuing/Community Education is pleased to present a digital photography” class on Monday and Tuesday, April 22-23, from 6-8 p.m.

Students will get to know their digital cameras a little better. Learn to take superior images. Students will learn techniques to improve their action, portrait, scenic, travel, outdoor and wildlife portraits.
This is an intermediate class; digital camera experience is required. Students are to take their digital cameras to class.
This course is held at SE Photographie Studios, 900 W. Gallatin St. in Vandalia. The cost is $20, but students over 60 may register at no cost.

‘Intro to the Internet’ class
The Kaskaskia College Office of Continuing/Community Education is pleased to present a “Intro to the Internet” class at the Vandalia Campus on Saturdays, April 13, 20 and 27, from 9-11:30 a.m.

This basic class is designed to teach students how to use email, establish free email accounts and how to use the Internet for learning, shopping and business.
The cost for this course is $52, but students over 60 may register at no cost.

Cake decorating class
The Kaskaskia College Office of Continuing/Community Education will offer a cake decorating class at the Vandalia Campus on Saturday, May 4, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The registration number is COED 5439 VA02W.
Students will learn the basics of cake decorating. Students will not only learn how to make icing, but will learn the importance of icing consistency.
Students can expect to learn how to make decorative icing flowers, figure piping and latticework. The making of novelty and specialty cakes will also be addressed.
The cost is $33, but students over 60 may register for supply cost of $13.
