A judge has affirmed the ruling of the St. Elmo Electoral Board that removed two candidates for alderman from the April ballot.
Judge Ericka Sanders issued her ruling on Monday, two days after hearing arguments in the case.
That ruling upholds the electoral board's decision to remove incumbent aldermen Jayson Porter and Lloyd Carson from the ballot. The electoral board ruled in favor of objections to their petitions filed by Rita Davis and Lyle Haslett.
