Jimmie O. Patterson, 78, St. Peter

Jimmie O. Patterson, 78, of St. Peter, died on Monday, May 30, 2011, in St. Peter.

Per Mr. Patterson’s wishes, his remains were cremated, and a family memorial service will be held.

Mr. Patterson was born on Nov. 3, 1932, in Greely, Mo., the son of John and Dessie B. Lorance Patterson.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores E. Stratton Patterson; daughters, Barbara and her husband Roger Snow, and Beckey and her husband Jim Detwiler; son, James Patterson and his wife Verna; sister, Mary and her husband Bob Powden; sister-in-law, Sarah L. VanFosson; brother-in-law, Merideth Yager; 14 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Evey M. Patterson Bennett; sister, Joy B. Patterson Yager; brother, John H. “Shorty” Lorance; great-granddaughter, Samantha “Sissy” Harvey; and brother-in-law, George VanFosson.
