Jill G. Greer Baue, 72, Missouri

Jill G. Greer Baue, 72, of St. Charles, Mo., and formerly of Vandalia, died on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at her residence.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Foundry Art Centre, 520 N. Main St., St. Charles, Mo. Burial will be in St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles, Mo. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services at the Foundry Art Centre. Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Foundry Art Centre or Nurses and Co. Home Health and Hospice Foundation.

Mrs. Baue was born on Dec. 24, 1935, in Vandalia, the daughter of Dr. Mark and Iris Klasing Greer. She married David C. Baue in August 1955 in Vandalia; he preceded her in death.

She graduated with an associates degree from William Woods College in Fulton, Mo., in 1955, and she, along with her husband, was the past owner of Baue Funeral Homes and St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles County. She was a funeral director. She was a member of St. Charles Artist Guild, past president of St. Charles Jaycees Wives, member of Century Club for SSM St. Josephs Hospitals, a past Gray Lady at St. Josephs for many years in the 1960s, was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years, was active in the Sister Cities Club of St. Charles, was a past board member of Commerce Bank, Foundry Art Centre Board of Directors (as well as an event volunteers, was a benefactor to the Baue Childrens Art Gallery at the Foundry Art Centre and was a member of the Board of Overseers at Lindenwood University, as well as a member of the Sibley Heritage Society and Butler Society at the university. She received the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce Cultural Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006 and was a 2007 recipient of the Community Shapers 50 Over 50 Award.

Mrs. Baue is survived by a daughter, Lisa A. and her husband Patrick Winning of St. Charles, Mo.; sons, Mark G. Baue of Fairfax, Calif., and D. Paul Baue and his wife Amy of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, John David Devaney of St. Charles, Mo., Shyla Baue of Gillette, Wyo., Savanna Baue of Denver, Colo., Erin Devaney of St. Charles, Mo., and Mason Baue of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Mary and her husband Dr. David Rendleman of Carbondale; brother-in-law, Dr. Arthur E. Baue and his wife the Rev. Rosemary Dysart of Fishers Island, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Caroline and her husband Donald Eaton of Flowery Branch, Ga.
