Home and Lifestyle Expo is Saturday

-A A +A

Prizes! Giveaways! Booth after booth of area merchants offering goods and services for your home, your back yard or your business!

It’s all at the Vandalia Chamber of Commerce’s Home & Lifestyle Expo. And it’s this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the gymnasium and cafeteria of Vandalia Junior High School.

This year’s event brings back the home show concept after a several-year hiatus in Vandalia. But it’s more than just a home show. It’s a one-stop shopping opportunity that includes home building stores, financial institutions, utilities, real estate agencies, health care providers, furniture stores, appliance retailers and more.

And don’t forget to bring your appetite. Givens Meat Shop will be selling hot dogs, barbecue, pork burgers, chicken salad sandwiches, side dishes and drinks for expo participants. Carry-outs are also available.

In addition to several great door prizes offered by the chamber, many exhibitors will be holding drawings for prizes at their booths.

Plan now to attend the expo. The Vandalia Junior High School is located just west of Eighth Street, between Fletcher St. and Veterans Avenue. Ample parking is available in lots located either north or south of the building.

Tickets are $2 in advance or $3 at the door. Children age 13 years of age and under are free. Advance tickets are available at First National Bank, Givens Meat Shop, Midland States Bank, The Leader-Union and Words, Wicks & Wood.
