Holiday Inn Express wins Torchbearer Award

The Holiday Inn Express of Vandalia has received the Intercontinental Hotel Group’s Torchbearer Award, the company’s most prestigious award.
Presented during IHG’s Investors and Leadership Conference in Las Vegas last month, the award recognizes the local hotel for achieving the highest levels of excellence in all aspects of the operation.
In making the presentation, Kirk Kinsell, president of the IHG of the Americas, said:
“It is my pleasure to name the Holiday Inn Express of Vandalia as one of the finest hotels in our industry. This hotel embodies the spirit, product and service that continue to make IHG properties known and admired throughout the world.”
The Vandalia Holiday Inn Express is one of only 116 properties in America chosen from the IHG system, which includes more than 4,400 hotels.
The 2011 Torchbearer trophy, the company’s symbol of excellence, will be on permanent display at the hotel.
