Hillsboro holds off Vandals' comeback attempt

Vandalia's boys basketball team had its best offensive game of the year Tuesday, hitting 50 percent from the floor and 74 percent from the foul line on its way to a season-high 67 points.

Unfortunately, the Vandals had one of their worst defensive nights as well.

The combination led to another frustratingly close defeat, as Vandalia dropped its 10th game by 10 points or fewer this season, falling to visiting Hillsboro, 74-67.
