Hill – 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hill of Ramsey will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the Ramsey American Legion Home.

Melvin Hill and the former Sherry Jo Pope were married on July 28, 1963, at Apostolic Church in Herrick, with the late Rev. Melvin Keppler officiating.
Melvin is the son of the late Ira and Edith Hill, and Sherry Jo is the daughter of the late Jesse and Cleta Pope.
Melvin is a retired farmer and Local 477 construction laborer, and Sherry is a homemaker.
They are the parents of Todd Hill and his wife Carla of Hillsboro, Tammy and her husband Ben Showers of Fairview Heights, and Timothy Hill and his wife Melissa of Ramsey.
They have five grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Cheyenne, Bradley, Hayley and Kristin.
