HCE Collects Tabs

The Brownstown School District joined with the Sefton Unit Home and Community Education to collect pop top tabs for the St. Louis Ronald McDonald House.

Collecting the tabs  is one of HCE’s ongoing projects. The Ronald McDonald House provides safe shelter, accommodations, assistance, and transportation to and from the hospital, for the parents of children who have to be hospitalized, and for the children who have to be near for treatment. The school collected 16.21 pounds of the tabs, which they gave to Flo Allen, chairman of the Sefton Club. The Brownstown staff and students will continue to collect the tabs during the summer and appreciate the help of the community. Pictured is Justin Hill of  McDonald’s of Vandalia accepting the tabs from Allen.
