Candy Hall, currently an assistant vice president at The First National Bank in Vandalia, has been promoted to vice president and senior risk officer.
Hall joined the bank on May 5, 1975, and has held several positions since then. She began her career in the bookkeeping department, but soon was named a teller. She was promoted to head teller in 1981 and then to assistant cashier and head teller in 1989. In 2009, she was promoted to assistant vice president.
Hall in a 1974 graduate of Vandalia Community High School, and has attended several seminars, including the school for community bankers sponsored by the Community Bankers Association of Illinois.

With her years of experience and knowledge, Candy is the perfect choice for this promotion, and is well deserving.”
She and her husband, Mike, have three children, Christopher, Amy and Andrew, and two grandchildren. She is very active in local politics and serves as an election judge. She has lived in the Vandalia area all her life.
“After working for many years in the deposit operations side of the bank, I am looking forward to this new position,” Hall said. “It will cover all areas of the bank, concentrating on audit, compliance and risk management.”
The First National Bank has seven facilities in Vandalia, Ramsey, Patoka, Mulberry Grove and Greenville. Chartered in 1865, it has grown to more than $275 million in assets, while serving area communities for 147 years.
