Greenville Museum holds Heritage Days

The American Farm Heritage Museum in Greenville held its annual Heritage Days celebration over the weekend, drawing large crowds to view hundreds of tractors and other types of farm implements, as well as various activities. The event included field demonstrations with classic tractors. Jimmy Kinnard is shown taking his granddaughter, 5-year-old Abigail Kinnard for a ride while he plows. Also shown is the museum's main building, which was recently enclosed and equipped with geo-thermal heating and cooling units.

During the Heritage Days celebration last weekend at the American Farm Heritage Museum in Greenville, members of the museum board honored Frank Watson for his service to the group in getting the museum started several years ago. Watson (center), a Greenville Republican who served in the Illinois House and Senate for nearly three decades, listens as his successor, state Sen. Kyle McCarter (R-Lebanon) reads the plaque given to him by the museum board.
