Get out and vote!

Next Tuesdays primary election will feature only three contested races, and only residents in three county board districts will be voting on those contests. But that doesnt mean that everyone else in the county should not bother going to the polls on Tuesday.

Fayette County residents should take advantage of the rescheduling of Illinois primary, to allow it to be included in Super Tuesday. On that day, voters in 20 states will be selecting their presidential candidates.

But regardless of whether youre interested in this years presidential election, there are numerous reasons to vote, both in the primary election next week and the general election in November. Those reasons are the Fayette County candidates that appear on the ballot.

Those who are running for office are deserving of your consideration. And that, considering what each of the candidate has to offer, is exactly what you should do in casting an educated ballot.

Voting only takes a few minutes, especially if youve done your homework before going to the polls. We encourage you to be a part of the process next Tuesday that would be just super.
