Happy New Year, everyone!
Weekend Visitors
Mitch, Gretchen, Owen and Aaron Harpster of Jackson, Mo., spent Saturday night with Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter. They were here to celebrate the Stein family Christmas.
Death
Carl Rothe, formerly of St. Peter, died on Dec. 29.
His funeral was on Jan. 5 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Murphysboro.
Fun Fair
St. Peter’s Lutheran School & Little Saints Preschool Fun Fair supper and auction will be held on Sunday, Jan. 17. at St. Peter’s Lutheran School Gym.
Food and games will run from 3:30-5:30 p.m., followed by a raffle drawing and live auction at 6 p.m. The meal will feature chili, chicken noodle soup, barbecue, hot dogs and plenty of desserts.
Cost for the supper is a free-will donation. Cash prizes for the raffle range from $50 to a grand prize of $500; you do not need to be present to win.
Babysitting will be available for smaller children during the time of the auction (6-8 p.m.). Proceeds will benefit St. Peter’s Lutheran School and Little Saints Preschool & Daycare.
Adult Information Class Change
Beginning Jan. 17, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church will be offering an adult information class during the Sunday school time (10:30 a.m.).
This class is for those who would like to become members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or members who would like to refresh their knowledge of the small Catechism.
The class is expected to run for eight weeks.

Worship attendance of New Year’s Eve was 56.
Worship attendance on Sunday morning was 201.
The organist was Jamie Lotz.
Olivia Brauer was the acolyte. Attending elders were Darrell Wollin and Allen Magnus.
