Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter spent the weekend with their daughter, Mahala Harpster of Gray Summit, Mo.
On Saturday, Mahala gave them a small tour at her job at Land O’ Lakes/Purina Farms. The remainder of the day was spent shopping and visiting a couple of wineries.
On Saturday night, they met Dale, Donna, Nick and Nathan Jacquin of Washington, Mo., for dinner. On Sunday, Dane and Belinda were almost to St. Louis when they received a call from son Mitch Harpster of Cape Girardeau, Mo., with the exciting news that their third grandchild was on the way. They headed straight from St. Louis to St. Francis Medical Center to join the rest of the family. They returned home on Monday evening.
Mitch and Gretchen Harpster of Cape Girardeau, Mo., are the parents of a son, Owen Mitchell Harpster, born on April 2, 2012. He weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 20¼ inches long.
Grandparents are Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter, Natalie Stein of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Tom and Patti Spitzmiller of Gordonville, Mo.

Sunday morning worship attendance was 258.
The rite of Confirmation was held in the morning service. Jessica Lotz was baptized privately following the service.
The organist was Jamie Lotz. Elders were Reggie Grandt and Kevin Wodtka.
Maundy Thursday service will be held at 7 p.m. Good Friday services will held at 7 p.m. An Easter sunrise service will be at 6 a.m. The LYF will be hosting a breakfast following the Sunrise service.
