Retirement
Sunday was the Rev. William Emrick’s last Sunday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. A dinner was held following the church service in the basement, with about 200 in attendance. Pastor Emrick will be joining his wife, Roxanne, at their home in Indianapolis, Ind.
Baptism
Emma Neri Elizabeth Wodtka, daughter of Brian and Rhiannon Wodtka, was baptized on Sunday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Her godparents are Lincoln Brasel, and Clint and Erica Storck.

Sunday morning worship attendance was 234.
The organist was the Rev. Alan Holtz.
Mitchell Brauer served as acolyte.
Attending elders were Darrell Wollin and Kevin Wodtka.

Major Storm Damage
Our little town was still reeling from the major storm that ripped through early Sunday morning.
Trees were uprooted, and houses and vehicles were damaged, but fortunately, there were no injuries. The community came together and helped clean up yards and debris all over town. Power was out in some places up to 24 hours. Clean up was still continuing through the week.
Celebrate Birthday
Dane and Belinda Harpster, and Nathan, Mahal, and Harper Jacquin, all of St. Peter, celebrated Mahala’s birthday on Sunday at Fujiyama in Effingham. The Jacquin family spent the night with the Harpsters due to the power outage.

Saturday evening worship attendance was 108.
There was no worship service on Sunday due to the power outage.
