Returns Home
Mahala Harpster of Cape Girardeau, Mo., returned home after spending the week with her parents, Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter. After seeing a Dr. in Effingham, and getting medication, she was feeling much better when she left.
Death
Leone Bartimus of St. Peter died last Wednesday.
The funeral was held on Saturday, with burial in Springhill Cemetery, rural Beecher City. Area survivors are daughter and son-in-law Liz and Jim Carson of St. Peter.

LWML Sunday was observed with attendance being 216. Elders were Charles Wachholz,
Curtis Jenne, and Reggie Grandt.

85th Birthday Celebration
The family of Wilbert Schroeder hosted an 85th birthday gathering at his home on Sunday, Oct. 3.
Among those attending were: Ray and Jeanie Deters, Dorothy Heiser, Melvin and Gladys Graumenz, Ida Wodtke, Norman Gehle, Pastor and Roxanne Emrick, Roger O’Dell, Warren, Lucretia, Adam and Erin Schroeder, Kent Clark, and Ellen and Larry Coffey.
They enjoyed cake and punch and wished Wilbert a happy 85th birthday.
