Disaster Preparedness Event
Thrivent Financial of Bond and Fayette counties will sponsor a disaster preparedness educational event on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia.
During the event, the Fayette County Emergency Management Agency will present a program on disaster preparedness.
Also at the event, representatives from FAYCO Enterprises will tell about the recycling program at their facility in Vandalia.
Admission is a non-perishable food item.
Weekend Visitors
Mitch, Gretchen and Owen Harpster of Cape Girardeau, Mo., spent the weekend with parents Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter.
On Saturday, Belinda, Gretchen and Owen visited Happy Hollow Farms.
Death
Calvin Runge, a lifetime resident of St. Peter, died on Friday of last week. The funeral was held on Wednesday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Saturday evening attendance was 97. Attendance on Sunday was 125.
Madyson Magnus served as acolyte.
The organist was the Rev. Alan Holtz.
Elders were Reggie Grandt and Jay Rothe.
