Four area players named all-tournament at Mulberry Grove

Area players made up almost half of the all-tournament team at last week’s Mulberry Grove Turkey Tournament, but it was Odin that won the event with a perfect record.

Patoka (4-1) took second, and was followed by Cowden-Herrick (2-3), Ramsey (2-3), Sandoval (1-4) and Mulberry Grove (1-4).

Odin senior Ryan Niepotter was the tournament Most Valuable Player.

Patoka senior Johnnie Clift (19 ppg) and freshman Jered Cain (14.8 ppg), Mulberry Grove junior Damian Latham (17 ppg) and Ramsey senior Tylor Knisley (16 ppg) represented the area on the all-tournament team.

Others selected were: Colton Burrus and Dylan Barnes from Cowden-Herrick, Devin Williams and Ike Margrum from Odin, and Laron Anderson from Sandoval.

In cheerleading, Patoka earned first-place honors.
