Former librarian pleads guilty

The former librarian of the St. Elmo Library District who has been charged with embezzling funds from the district pleaded guilty on Wednesday morning.
Terri E. Gillespie signed an open guilty plea to one count of theft of between $10,000 and $100,000 of government funds.
An open plea resulted from plea bargaining through which Gillespie admitted committing the theft, but terms of a sentence were not agreed upon.
