Five area players were named to the Illinois Coaches Association Class 1A All-State team.
St. Elmo senior Brooke Maxey, and Mulberry Grove sophomore Becca Oldham and junior Harley Tompkins were named to the second team.
In addition, Mulberry Grove senior Zoe Zinkgraf and freshman Kate Jolliff were named to the third team.
Maxey was the co-MVP of the Egyptian-Illini Conference and an all-National Trail Conference first-team selection this past season and will be attending Kaskaskia College next fall to play volleyball.
The Mulberry Grove players were all named first-team EIC, including co-MVP honors for Oldham, and all heavily contributed to the Lady Aces’ run to the sectional championship game in this past season’s playoffs.
