First Vandalia Corp. re-elects three directors, board chairman

The annual stockholders’ meeting of First Vandalia Corp., parent company of First National Bank, with locations in Vandalia, Ramsey, Patoka, Mulberry Grove and Greenville, was held on Wednesday, April 13, at First National Bank in Vandalia.

Directors William E.  "Ernie" Chappel, B. Rand "Randy" Edwards and Todd Shulman were re-elected to serve three-year terms.  The newly re-elected directors join current directors Ann M. Schwarm, Haldon E. Warner, Thomas L. McCarty and R. Wynn Provines.  
Marla Becker, CPA with the accounting firm of RSM McGladrey, commented on the company’s financial performance.  Becker confirmed the sound condition of First National Bank and commented on the status of today’s banking industry.
Board Chairman Todd L. Shulman emphasized the importance of community banking and thanked the stockholders for their attendance.
President Ernie Chappel reviewed financial highlights from the past year and complimented the staff on its performance.
Following the annual meeting, the board of directors re-elected Shulman as chairman.
First National Bank has seven facilities in Vandalia, Ramsey, Patoka, Mulberry Grove and Greenville.
Chartered in 1865, First National Bank has grown to more than $270 million in assets while serving area communities for 146 years.
