Historical Vandalia Inc. opened its 2012 Season of Entertainment in Welsey Hall at First United Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon with a performance by Barbara Kay of Glen Carbon.
In the role of Martha Washington, wife of President George Washington, Kay told about life in the United States in the mid- to late 1700s. The next Season of Entertainment performance is at 2 p.m. on Nov. 4; Linda Dust of the Champaign-Urbana Storytellers will present historical family stories. Historical Vandalia will use funds from the Season of Entertainment for renovation of the main floor of the Fayette County Museum.
