The Fayette County Hospital Board on Monday heard that the hospital’s financial condition continues on a strong upward trend after cost-cutting measures were taken last fall.
“The hospital’s volumes are fairly close to budgeted volumes and to what they were last year,” said CEO Greg Starnes.
“There has been a great deal of attention to expense reductions and controls, as well as a focus on getting bills sent and money collected.
"As a result, the hospital has realized profits greater than budgeted.”
