A Farina man is being held in Fayette County Jail without bond for allegedly trying to have his wife killed.
Mark G. Fulk, 35, was arrested last Friday on a charge of solitication for murder.
The office of Fayette County State’s Attorney Joshua Morrison has charged Fulk with solicitation of murder for hire, a Class X felony.
In the information, Morrison’s office alleges that Fulk approached a man and offered to him cash, a motorcycle, auto shop and house as payment for killing his wife.
A bond hearing for Fulk is scheduled for next Wednesday, at which time Morrison and Assistant State’s Attorney Amanda Ade-Harlow will argue their petition for denial of bond.
In their petition, they claim that Fulk still presents a “real and present threat” to his wife.
A preliminary hearing for Fulk has been sent for April 24.
