Farina will hold its Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 7, at the Farina Village Park.
The schedule for the celebration is as follows:
• 1 p.m. – Parade signup.
• 2 p.m. – Parade begins.
• 2:30 p.m. – Food stand opens.
• 3-9 p.m. – Kids’ games.
• 4 p.m. – American Legion opening ceremony, including the presentation of colors and the national anthem by Kyla Stevens.
• 4-9 p.m. – Bingo.
• 4:30 p.m. – Cake walk.
• 4:30-6:30 p.m. – Concert hosted by John and Judy Roberts, with performances by FourGiven Quartet and Shephersmen Quartet.
• 7 p.m. – Music by “Crazy Horse.”
• 8 p.m. – Raffle drawing.
• 9:15 p.m. – Fireworks display.
• 9:45-10:30 p.m. – Music by “Crazy Horse.”
The celebration will include a military display, and food and refreshments available will include homemade ice cream, funnel cakes, lemon shake-ups, corn dogs, bratwurst, fish, hot dogs, hamburgers, porkburgers, nachos and cheese, chips, water and soda. Alcohol is not being allowed on the grounds.
