Larry DeLawder, an award-winning impersonator, comic and harmonica player, will be featured at Brownstown First Christian Church this Sunday at 6 p.m.
And during Family Comedy Night, there just might be a visit from “Barney Fife.”
This is part of the church’s “Friend Day” and 140th anniversary celebration.
DeLawder will also be part of the morning worship at 9:30 a.m. A potluck meal will follow the morning services.
At the National Quartet Convention in Nashville, Tenn., DeLawder was nominated seven times for the “Singing News Fan Award” as Instrumentalist of the Year.
He was also nominated and received the “Hearts Aflame” award for Instrumentalist of the Year.
DeLawder’s personal ministry has taken him throughout the U.S. and Canada. Because of his harmonica talent, he received an endorsement from the Hohner Harmonica Co. The public is invited to the event.
Brownstown First Christian Church is located at the corner of First and Poplar streets in Brownstown. For more information, contact the church at 427-3687.
