Twenty-five members and seven guests attended the ExxonMobil Annuitants Club meeting on June 30 at the Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia.
Guests present were Bob and Debbie Booher from Dolpin Island; Al, Kenneth and Angie Hagen from Shelbyville; Jane Hammond from Greenville; and Marge Harre and Pam Orr from Brownstown.
The pledge to the flag was followed with Pat Caldwell giving the prayer before the meal.
After the meal, Dean Black called the meeting to order and gave a special welcome to all the guests.
The secretary/treasurer report was given and approved, and birthdays and anniversaries for June were read.
A card was signed for a member who is ill.
Deed awards were given to those present who had volunteered their time.
Those receiving deed awards for 2010 were Vera Miller, Jr. and Betty Williams, D.R. and Pat Caldwell, Don and LaVerne Laux, Butch and Martha Shelton, Lois Jones, Dave Crye, and Dean and Elloise Black.
Those attending were: from Altamont: Dorothy Meier, Vera Miller, Dallas and Jo Fairley, and D.R. and Pat Caldwell; Brownstown: Vernus Lytle Jr. and Betty Williams and Elmer Feezel; Beecher City: Helen Wright and Bill and Lois Jones; Greenville: Carolyn Johnson; New Baden: Don and LaVerne Laux; St. Elmo: Betty Feezel; Shelbyville: Brock and Madelon Fisher; and Vandalia: Jim Sprayberry, Dave Crye, Ed and Doris Helm, and Dean and Elloise Black.
Since there was no other business, the meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting will be held on July 28 at Ponderosa.
