ExxonMobil Annuitants

The ExxonMobil Annuitants Club met on May 29 at Maverick Restaurant in Litchfield, with 23 members, including new member Wayne Buck of Carlinville, and three guests.
The pledge to the flag was given, followed by the meal prayer given by President Dean Black. After the buffet meal, Black welcomed everyone to the luncheon and meeting.
He asked all members who had served in the military to stand, and he thanked them for their service to our country and then read a poem, “Freedom Is Not Free.”
The secretary and treasurer report were read and approved. Birthdays and anniversaries for May were read.
A card was signed for a member who is in the hospital.  Volunteer hours for grants were discussed.
Mike Mulhern has volunteered to give a program next month, “Gas Prices Explanation.” Next month’s meeting will be in Vandalia at Ponderosa Steakhouse on June 26, with the club paying for the meal.
Members present were: Dean and Elloise Black, Brock and Madelon Fisher, Frank and Carolyn Heigert, Carolyn Johnson, Cy and Lorene Locke, Dick and Barb Lounsbury, Paul and Nancy Mihalek, Richard and Barb Mottershaw, Mike and Laura Mulhern, Butch and Martha Shelton, Jim Sprayberry, Junior and Betty Williams, and new member Wayne Buck. Guests present were Jane Hammond, and Kenneth and Angie Hagan.
