ExxonMobil Annuitants

The ExxonMobil Annuitants Club met on Sept. 29 for its monthly meeting and luncheon at Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia.
There were 25 members present, as well as two guests, Kenneth and Angie Hagen from Shelbyville.
Following the pledge to the flag, Brock Fisher gave the meal prayer. After the meal, President Dean Black called the meeting to order, the secretary and treasurer report was given and approved.
Birthdays and anniversaries for September were read.
Madelon Fisher read a humorous article, and LaVerne Laux had a baseball quiz for all. D. R. Caldwell gave a program on his hobby of leather work, and brought items for display that covered two tables.
Since there was no other business, the meeting was adjourned. This month’s meeting will be held at the Chinatown Restaurant in Litchfield on Oct. 27 at noon.
Members present were: Dallas and Jo Fairley, Vera Miller, Butch and Martha Shelton, and D. R. and Pat Caldwell from Altamont; Junior and Betty Williams, and Elmer Feezel from Brownstown; Helen Wright, and Bill and Lois Jones from Beecher City; Marty Gorman from Breese; Carolyn Johnson from Greenville; Don and LaVerne Laux from New Baden; Brock and Madelon Fisher from Shelbyville; and Jim Sprayberry, Dave Crye, Cy and Lorene Locke, and Dean and Elloise Black from Vandalia.
