ExxonMobil Annuitants

The ExxonMobil Annuitants Club met on Thursday, June 28, at Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia for its monthly meeting and luncheon.
After the pledge to the flag, Brock Fisher gave the meal prayer. Thirty members and four guests were present.
After the meal, President Dean Black called the meeting to order with the announcement of two new members: Roger and Becky Bergman of Litchfield.
The secretary and treasurer report was given and approved. Birthdays and anniversaries for June were read.
Brock Fisher brought a collection of knives displayed in wooden cases.
LaVerne Laux and Carolyn Johnson read some humorous articles.
Dean Black said that while he and his wife, Elloise, were in Branson, Mo., they visited with Jerry and Cathy Hayes.
A card was signed for Gene Sears for the death of his wife, Lois. He now lives in LaFayette, La., and worked in the Loudon Field some years ago.
This month’s meeting will be in Litchfield at Chinatown Restaurant on July 26.
Guests present were Millie Brooks, Stacey Langston, and Kenneth and Angie Hagan. Since there was no other business, the meeting was adjourned.
