Engagement

Kate Doll and Ben Timmermann, both of Vandalia, have announced their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The future bride is the daughter of Homer and Judy Doll of Pocahontas. She is a 1998 graduate of Greenville High School, a 2004 graduate of Greenville College, with a bachelor’s degree, and a 2008 graduate, with a master’s degree in education. She is currently a fifth-grade teacher at Vandalia Junior High School.
The future groom is the son of Dale and Mariann Timmermann of Vandalia. He is a 1995 graduate of Vandalia High School and a 2000 graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. He is currently employed as a CPA at Timmermann and Co. Ltd. in Vandalia.
The couple are planning a 2 p.m. wedding on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Mother of Dolors Catholic Church in Vandalia. A reception will follow at the Moose Lodge in Vandalia.
