Engagement

The Rev. Kevin Wendorf of Onarga and Barbara Torbeck have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The couple will be married on June 16 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Champaign.
The future bride is the daughter of Randall and Anne Torbeck, and the granddaughter of Elden and Dorothy Torbeck, formerly of Vandalia.
She is a 1998 graduate of Champaign Centennial High School, and earned both a bachelor’s degree (2003) and a master’s degree (2005) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
She is currently employed as the marketing coordinator for Bushue, Jones and Associates, a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services Inc. in Savoy.
The future groom is the son of Erna and the late Roger Wendorf of Cottage Grove, Minn.
He is a 1990 graduate of Cottage Grove Park High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 1994 and a master’s of divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary of Ft. Wayne, Ind., in 2005.
He is called to serve as pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church Ash Grove in Onarga.
