Sarah Meyer of rural Alma and Mitch Johnson of rural Shobonier have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The future bride is the daughter of Richard and Crissy Meyer of rural Alma.
She is a 2008 graduate of South Central High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Millikin University in Decatur.
She is employed as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia.
The future groom is the son of Mark and Lori Johnson of rural Shobonier.
He is a 2008 graduate of Vandalia Community High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree in agronomy and ag business from Illinois State University in Bloomington.
He is self-employed in a farming operation.
The couple are planning a July 13 wedding at First United Methodist Church in Vandalia.
They plan to reside in rural Shobonier.
