Durbin – 72nd Anniversary

Clifford and Daisy Durbin of St. Elmo celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Feb. 2.
Clifford and the former Daisy Hopper were married on Feb. 2, 1939, at the Fayette County Courthouse, with Judge Charlie Myers officiating, this being the first wedding that Judge Myers had preformed. Their attendants were Adele Kelly and Mary C. Grey.  
After being married, the Durbins settled in rural St. Elmo. Cliff drove the school bus for 26 years and farmed, and Daisy was a homemaker.
