Dunaway — Kruenegel

Karlee Elizabeth Dunaway and Tyler David Kruenegel were united in marriage on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Augsburg in a double-ring ceremony, with Pastor Bruce Milash officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Kent and Kim Dunaway and granddaughter of Kenneth and Berverly Walton, and JoAnna Corry, all of Vandalia. She is a 2008 graduate of Vandalia Community High School and is a 2010 graduate of Kaskaskia College with an associate’s degree and is transferring to Greenville College this fall to pursue a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
The groom is the son of David and Stacy Kruenegel of Shobonier, and grandson of Brad and Linda Pryor of Vandalia, and Charles and Iris Kruenegel of Shobonier. He is a 2006 graduate of Vandalia Community High School and a 2008 graduate of Lake Land College with an associate’s degree in agriculture production and management. He is employed by Kruenegel Farms Inc.
The bride was given away by both of her parents. She wore a white gown with beaded tulle netting with vertically shirred tulle on the sweetheart strapless top with an empire bodice that met the slim A-line skirt decorated with a sparkling bead design and chapel-length train. She had a cascading bouquet with pink roses and touches of babies breath.
The bride chose Whitney Towler of Patoka as her maid of honor. Her bridesmaids were Kourtney Brimberry of Vandalia, Shelbee Dunaway of Vandalia, and Jamie Kruenegel of Shobonier.
The bridesmaids wore lipstick pink gowns. They were a tank style that came underneath the bust in an empire waist line that wrapped into a knot. The skirt of the gown flowed to the floor, accented with two pieces of draping material in the back.
The groom wore a black three-button Suffolk tux with a white vest and black necktie.
The groom chose Blake Rabe of DeKalb as his best man. His groomsmen were: Justin Stone of Vandalia, Adam Shook of Mattoon and Lucas Benning of Shobonier.
The groomsmen wore black three-button Suffulk tuxes with black vests, and fuschia and black striped neckties.
The flower girl was Shelby Sasse of Brownstown, and the ring-bearer was John Johnson of Vandalia.
Ushers were: Kenneth Dunaway of Vandalia, Chad Dunaway of Vandalia, Jacob Cripe of Vandalia and Jason Opfer of Shobonier.
The ushers wore black three-button tux with black vests, and white- and black-striped neck ties.
Wedding music was provided by organist Lisette Ehrat and Julie Lay, who sang "The Lord's Prayer" while the bride and groom lit the unity candle.
The pews of the church were decorated with big white bows, with pink bows accented inside. The candelabras and unity table were decorated with pick roses accented with baby’s breath and greenery.
A recption at the Moose lodge in Vandalia followed. The tables were decorated with pick table cloths, pink and white roses accented with baby’s breath, heart candy dishes, candle votives, and pink and white flower peals. The lattices behind the lead table and cake table were decorated with pink and white lights, and pink sheer material draped over the lights.
The cake was a five-tier cake with white icing and pink heart swirls all over. The bride and groom's names were on the side of the top tier with a Precious Moments cake topper.

The couple honeymooned in Montego Bay, Jamaica. They reside in rural Shobonier.
