Do you hate the people around you?

Have you told anyone about Jesus this week? As followers of Jesus the Christ, we have been instructed by him to “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel” (Matthew 28:18).
Gospel literally means “good news.” What is this “good news” that we are to proclaim (preach) to the entire world? John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
God loves us, so he sent Jesus to save us. As Christians, we have the message that will bring people into eternal life. Are you sharing that message?
On Sunday, Nov. 14, we showed a YouTube video in our morning service. If you want to view it, the tag is “Penn Gillette gets a gift of a Bible.” Penn Gillette is the talking half of the magician duo, Penn & Teller. Penn Gillette is a professed atheist. He does not believe in the existence of any god, much less the one true God. Penn does not believe in life after death, neither in heaven nor in hell. Yet, in this video, he shares a profound statement that if a person believed in hell and had a message that would keep people from going there, how much would you have to hate someone not to tell them about it?
As Christians, we know the only way to heaven and eternal life. Jesus is “the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through” Jesus (John 14:6).
But have you told anyone about Jesus this week? Do you know people who have not given their lives to Jesus? Do you know people who, if they died today, would be destined for hell, not heaven? If you know one person who is separated from God by sin, why are you not telling them about Jesus? There can only be one of two possible answers.
The first possible answer is that you really do not believe that God would send the person you know to hell. In other words, you do not believe what you say you believe. You do not believe what the Bible teaches about salvation.
The second possible answer is that you do not want that person with you in heaven. You would rather them spend eternity in hell than join you in heaven.
Which answer is it?
I believe that if either of these answers is true for you, then you have not given your life to Jesus. Call me, because I need to show you how you can give your life to God through Jesus. You cannot be a follower of Jesus if either one of these answers is true for you.
So, if you are a believer in Jesus as the only way of salvation, who are you going to share that message with today?
